Varietal: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon 45% Merlot 5% Cabernet Franc
Located in Leyssac, heart of the Saint Estephe appellation, between Château Calon Ségur in the North and Château Cos D’Estournel in the South. This 5 hectares family owned estate is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) on sandy gravels, then Merlot (45%) and Cabernet Franc (5%) on clayey chalky plots.
The average age of the vineyard is 20 years.
Wine Making: The harvests are hand-picked. The wine is matured in oak barrels during 12 months with 10 to 15 % of new barrels depending on the vintage.
Tasting Notes: Color: pretty ruby color. Nose: notes of toasted blend with the aromas of ripe fruit. Palate: the sweetness of the vintage is supported by creamy tannins to give a balanced balance.
