Varietal: 95% Merlot 5% Cabernet Franc
Region and Terrior: From a family owned vineyard located in “Cadillac-en-Fronsadais”, the vines are planted on Clayey, sandy and chalky soils typical of the area.
Wine Making: Harvest comes from high density vines. Winemaking in small concrete tanks. Maceration during 3 weeks. Alcoholic fermentation under 28ºC temperature. Pumping-over by hand. 12 Months in American Barrels, 1/3 new barrels. 1/3 once used, 1/3 twice used.
Tasting: Color – An intense garnet color Nose – red fruit, combined with floral notes with a slightly exotic touch. Mouth – On the palate, a very well-blended, supple wine, with well-rounded aromas of blackcurrant. The finish is long, with notes of vanilla.
Food Pairing: Enjoy with grilled meat, cheeses, mushrooms, and with friends as a friendly complex sipper
