Description
Château Bonneau
Montagne Saint-Émilion
Varietal: 90% Merlot 10% Cabernet Franc
Wine Making: First to pick the grapes according to a most satisfactory maturity. The reception at the winery is done in respect of the fruit and with the least possible handling. Winemaking in concrete and stainless steel vats with an average capacity allowing a plot selection. The latter are equipped with thermoregulation systems allowing a lot of precision in the development of great wines. Malolactic fermentation takes place in vats. Then the wine is sown in barrels for a 12-month aging and this for 2/3 of the harvest. The rest is aged in vats. The wines will be pasted and filtered only if necessary before bottling.
Tasting Notes: The 2014 vintage is a rather classic year. The tasting confirms a supple and silky wine. Its aromas are marked by ripe red fruits. Its structure on the palate shows tannins on a velvet texture and a presence of wine on the palate in length and volume. To drink before 2025
